I don't think you can compare the football to boxing, when it comes to how they need/use the media.

90% of boxing promotion is based on creating faux soap opera-esque feuds between the participants, almost in the same way professional wrestling matches are promoted. One of the cheapest ways the promoters do this, is by way of press conferences and by giving the impression they have broke the fourth wall with their "candid" interviews. Most of it is meticulously planned out to play on gullible "punters" desire to be in the know. This is why In pro-wrestling, the "shoot interview" has become massive business for over the hill wrestlers.

In football, it's the opposite. The clubs are looking for their "assets" to make as little waves as possible...

The club should definitely be more open about what kind of biscuits Barry likes to eat. Come on BFC - time for a bit of transparency.

By transparent are you thinking in terms of some sort of wafer biscuit?

Possibly, or maybe even a tuile.

Which i've just realised is a wafer.

This reminds me of a massive long thread from an ancient version of this BBS from about 2006 or so. Is a Penguin a biscuit, or a chocolate bar?

Hmmmm, interesting. I think I'd have to say biscuit. It's like a chocolate digestive but a different shape.

Biscuits are not usually individually wrapped. I think it's a chocolate bar, similar to a Boost or Twix. I spent weeks arguing with Big Lil's daughter about it. She thinks she won, but I changed my mind shortly after giving up.

If you take the chocolate off a penguin you're left with biscuit. I'd call it a chocolate covered biscuit meself.

What a bizarre argument! That's like saying if you take the pastry off a steak pie you're left with a steak. It's a chocolate bar.

Damn! You spotted the flaw in my argument!
I don't much like Penguins anyway. Foxs chocolatey rounds are the prince of biscuits.

That sounds like you've given in. I win, it's a chocolate bar.
