Ligue 1 club Nice have unveiled a state-of-the-art training complex which includes bedrooms for players to relax before or after a game. (Sun) Very forward thinking at our potential sister club could be part of the Oakwell setup if we follow when the takeover goes through
It's ............. Nice in Nice. So nice in Nice (so nice in Nice) so nice and neat (so nice and neat) So nice in Nice (so nice in Nice) so nice and neat (so nice and neat).
I think the term used to describe the level of investment into our club was "modest". Nice will still be the main focus for Mr Lee, I think we're seen as more of a slow burner. I'm not for one second saying that we won't witness some sort of development of the training facilities, but I wouldnt expect it to be on such a grand scale.
I think most of us would be happy to take a couple of players on loan and a pre-season friendly every year or so - perhaps even alternate grounds so we play Nice at Oakwell one year, then visit the South of France the year after. Anything else would be a bonus
Sure they are not taking over to stand still, the potential earnings of the premier league are what they are after and this would dwarf the income available in the French leagues.
I don't doubt for a second that the Premier League will be the aim. But don't expect it to happen overnight. This is just based on what I've read.
Are there any plans for a game with them at Oakwell? Never seen Nice. Would be Nice to do so. After all it's Nice to be Nice
