Not often I disagree with you Stahlrost but I'd change the last word of your post to "money".

My best solution would be to make sure I'd got some free streaming app on my pc or phone, or have one of those streaming box thingies, and watch the televised match from the comfort of my home, effectively putting a giant two-fingers up at Sky.
A half empty ground would show the money grabbers they have a problem. I despair at what is happening.

Who cares? My teams not involved. Means I have little interest.

Better still would be a complete boycott by fans of both teams. An empty stadium would look really bad to the overseas markets.

Great idea but the ability of football fans to think beyond short term is woeful. If it werent we might have the bargaining power we deserve.
I think if you offered them free entry for the rest of the season if they boycotted just one game they'd still turn up.

It wouldn't bother them one bit because at most of these big games the amount of pay on the day fans is miniscule so they already have everyone else's money. It would also mean more viewers on sky which would help them.

The best way to take action is for nobody to watch the game on sky sports. Skys advertiser's would lose a lot of money from the game and would be reluctant to advertise with them for future games and without advertising revenue or viewers sky would have no reason to show games like that again.

I'll never understand why Barnsley fans (for example) watch Manchester united v Chelsea on sky anyway

Totally agree. In general fans are very good at moaning about certain aspects of the game but unwilling to do anything meaningful to force change.
