    All they seem to want to talk about is Billy Bean, the film and who played him in it.

    He's only a very small part of the consortium. It's not like everything hinges on him.

    They were the ones who originally broke the news of the takeover happening. Wouldn't be surprised if it was true, though their reasoning of it falling through doesn't quite seem to make sense.

    I do get what you mean. We need a buyer as it's unrealistic to expect Patrick's family to keep putting money into the club.
    However, we have an operating style that has reduced that input to a minimum in recent years. Worst comes to the worst we have to yo yo between divisions Two and Three (old money) for a while. And no, that's not me having an owt will do attitude. I want this takeover to go through and for us to have a little more financial clout.
    Whatever happens though, if it falls through, we still have a team to support every Saturday.

    How do you know that?

    Some of the money received from transfer fees in the last 2/3 years might have been used to reduce any debt the club might have had.

    I'm not saying the money isn't there, but I don't buy into your mantra of the club are merely sticking it under the mattress.
