A positive this season that we won't lose key players this year in the January transfer window. We so need the takeover to happen in time though.
No its not, still a bit fed up over yesterday and its a poor sarcastic thread from me but if this team can improve as we hope and add a couple of strikers then may not losing anybody in Jan may make us stronger for the second half of the season.
One of the good things about the season long loan is we know we have the likes of Fryers & Williams till May. Could see one or two players leaving in January, like Moncur & Yiadom, should there be bids.
I imagine Swansea will come back in for Yiadom and he’ll probably go. It wouldn’t surprise me if teams come in for Bradshaw too. He’s got 7 (8?) goals so far meaning he’s on course to be a 20+ goal a season striker this season.
Other than Yiadom I can't see any of them going upwards in the leagues at this stage. I can only think of 3/4 who would get a squad place at other Championship clubs. Not to say that in time some of the Ines we have signed won't 'outgrow' us but not by January.
Can see Malan and Pinnock leaving at the very least on loan. What a waste of time bringing them two in appears to have been. Our defence can't keep clean sheets and our midfield don't create enough. But they still can't get a sniff as we continue to make few changes game to game even though it's clearly not working for us.
IMO - ALL our players are good Championship players - most are young players - and they will only get better with more Championship experience. I can see Potts being worth a few million next season. Although only loan players, Barnes and Williams are worth quite a few million already. Bring in a couple of more options in the central strikers position in January and I think we should be ok this season - and be top six next season. Most important thing about yesterday - wasn't the result - it was the fact that Chien Lee was sat in the directors box.
Mallan is extremely highly rated as far as I'm aware. I'm sure we'll see more of him in the future. I reckon we may have seen the last of Moncur though, who has flattered to deceive. If a player of his obvious ability can't get into a team that is so clearly lacking in creativity then there's something very wrong.
Hope you're right Malan can't be any worse. Pinnock will see us leaking goals every game and wonder why he still can't buy a place on the bench. Moncur I see sticking around.
I thing Yiadom will be off for sure. Also Lindsay maybe one that's caught the eye of one or two clubs?
Think Pinnock will feature. Looked a good ball playing defender. Not sure re Mallan. Hecky does not fancy him by looks. I'm not sure where you expected us to be at this point of the season. We are doing better than I thought we would.
Apologies. I have just come. Thought he was a loan player. £5 million to Crystal Palace in January LOL
