I couldn't really class any of the bands mentioned as heavy rock , but you would never see a band that you mentioned on the same bill / planet rock as the rest just sayin , indie yes, pop yes , rock , tenuous for me Which begs the question how do you classify rock , what makes it different to indie, how do I think I know that , stone roses, jam , oasis et al are not the same . New talkin point maybe
Just because a song or a band or even an album has a decent chart performance it doesnt make it 'pop' its still rock and roll. I get that there are many different variations of rock music but essentially, it's still rock.
Ha ha ha ha well I'm the opposite really with chart performance I don't expect any of the music I listen to to be involved in chart performance as I completely dismiss 95 percent as dire rubbish but it does seem to be a lot more pigeonholed lately
1. Milliontown (Milliontown) by Frost* 2. Harvest of Souls (Dark Matter) by IQ 3. Not of this World (Not of this World) by Pendragon All Progressive Rock I,m afraid but if you have a spare hour, give them a listen.
