    Anyone know if/when these are going to re-open? There’s Watson’s Deli/sweet shop, The Londoner, Jocks Cavern. When I Passed on Friday the Soul Lounge has a Forfeiture notice on the door, but the others don’t.
    I’d heard allegations that the party that collects rents on behalf of the Landlords had ‘done a runner, with the rents. Other than that, I’ve heard nowt.

    Londoner was struggling anyway so its not a suprise its closed.

    Jocks caverns still open as far as i am aware.

    Pass on the others.

    The article in The Chronicle suggested that the Soul Lounge is sublet to the current proprietor but that the current proprietor's immediate landlord had not paid rent(s) to its landlord, hence the current uncertainty.

    Red Ginger is being renovated by the looks. There are notices in the Window advertising for waiters, Barista, etc. Think it’s going to be called Alexander’s or summert

    Correct, Jock's Cavern reopened as well. There's big changes happening to the night scene, a fair few bars/pubs will not have their licenses renewed. About time too it's become a right **** hole and it was drifting back in time to a 70s/80s throw back. It's all part of the new town centre that will contain new bars and restaurants and the end of Wellington Street apart from the stalwarts.
