Yeah, I was just about to post something. Sky sports reporting a number of clubs wanted him in the summer but nothing materialised, but now looks certain to leave this January with West Brom leading the way. I think he will definitely go, even if this take over thing happens
He has a track record of running down his contract and doing a bosman he wont do us aNy favours just like he didnt Barnett
I have thought how well he has done in the past two come-back games. He looks so naturally fit. Great clearance off the line at Hillsborough and played well from the clips I have seen at Burton. I think that he might be tempted to sign an extended contract with us in January, given the Huddersfield/Swansea debacle in the summer, which nearly cost him his career. He might be willing to give us another one, or two years, but you can understand his wanted to play in the Premiership and a competition between clubs might secure more than the £500k Huddersfield were reportedly offering. The good thing is, we needn't be tempted to sell for such a paltry amount these days, so I say hold on to him until the summer, offering him a contract extension including captaincy as previously. Very mobile full-back, who can play right, or left with equal aplomb. Good as attacker and good defensively. We scouted him well from Barnet. Would like him to stay longer. we'll see.
I bloody wish Conor Hourihane had decided to run his contract down. We might be in the Premier League if he had.
Apparently papers in the Midlands are suggesting Pulis is very interested and could bid around £2.5 million for Yids. If we can restrict our January outgoings to just him and Townsend that would be a good outcome for me. Incoming. ? As I've said previously , we badly need additional firepower up front. As well as McBurnie if we could ask Jurgen Klopp if we could loan Danny Ings until the end of the season that should ensure that what we've already got at the Club and with Gardner and Cavare to come in, we should have enough to remain in the Championship.
I think we're in a good place without yiadom we have McCarthy fryers and cavare (if he ever gets fit) we already planned for life without the former Barnet man who is destined for the premier league let's not hold him back and get some money for him.
I did that straight from my phone (Samsung S7) clicked the drop down on his tweet where l have the option "embed tweet" and it automatically copies the link and then l post it on here. No idea why it posts all the other garbage it's all automatic, l cant see a way around it. I've recently changed from iphone.
I'm looking forward to seeing him play on Saturday as we've missed his play in the matches I've seen. But he's going to leave and if we can get a good fee for him in January then grabit it or it'll be a big nowt next summer. In the meantime let's get as much out of him as we can.
Is that a serious suggestion? If you think Liverpool would loan him to us, (or any championship team for that matter) you must have been drinking some sort of bathroom cleaning fluid.
all this speculation.. if he wants to go just get shut, get a decent price and then we can get on with the players that want to be here.
If we are to sell him in January, we need to get it done asap. I still think Cavare was brought in to be Yids replacement so we don't even have to mess about finding a replacement. We also have McCarthy, Fryers and Pearson, so we're sufficiently covered. Let's not have the distraction of a transfer saga dragging on.
