    A delivery driver "left fighting for his life" after an acid attack in east London could lose his sight.

    The 32-year-old had a substance repeatedly thrown in his face by two men who tried to steal his moped in Walthamstow on Thursday at 18:00 GMT.

    In a separate attack in Tottenham about 30 minutes later, another delivery driver, also 32, had a corrosive substance thrown at him.

    A teenage boy has been arrested over the attack in Walthamstow.

    It should carry a mandatory 5 year sentence slinging acid at somebody.... Awful awful people who do these things. Using any weapon to steal something from somebody is absolutely terrible but to throw acid at them is another level of evil.

    The punishments in this country are disproportionately low and therefor act as no deterrent whatsoever. This leads to these fuckers doing exactly as they please.
    Been in town today with my 2 boys where they witnessed a gaggle of smackrats openly arguing/swearing in the precinct. One was threatening to stab another with a dirty needle and one was offering to stamp the others face into the concrete.
    We were in town over an hour and didn't see 1 policeman. Yesterday I drove past 3 speed traps.
    Warms the heart doesn't it?
