They were abysmal. I don't think that should take away from our performance though. I thought we were more than good enough to win without it being spectacular, like at Burton. Everyone played well and we fully deserved what was a pretty routine win in the end. Brilliant 6 points this week.
Their fans certainly weren't wrong when they chanted "we're ******* ****" were they. Got to be a contender for worst side we will see this season.
I agree that we've met and bet two really poor sides this week in Burton & Birmingham, but lets take these 6 massive points eh. Onwards and upwards hopefully. Ive called Hecky's choices into question this season and this year going back to Jan to be honest, but it looks now like the 4-5-1 IS what suits us so fingers crossed it will work out.
How many times have we lost to dross in the recent past? Including Hull! 3 points are just as valuable whoever they're against.
Agreed, however despite my reservations I am coming round to the thought that 3 or 4 teams in this league are a lot worse than we are. Just by the virture of being well organised, playing for each other and sheer work ethic I now think we should stay up.
Important outcomes from today as far as I am concerned, we got another valuable three points and more importantly, we kept a clean sheet. More of the same please Reds.
Exactly! It's lovely to actually comfortably beat teams we should be beating for once. How many times have we slipped up in the games we expect to win. Imagine Hecky is still kicking himself we dropped the 2 points against QPR, the point against Wolves and the 3 points against Hull. We'd be absolutely cruising. This squad still has so much room to improve. Gardner, Cavare, Brown and Jackson injured plus the likes of Fryers, McDonald, Isgrove, McGeehan, Yiadom still building fitness. Very positive signs.
