    McCarthy is 2/3 years behind Yids in terms of experience and real game time . Your right that McCarthy has a bit of catching up to do but I have no doubt he'll be a top player in a couple of years .

    Once we have everyone available, I believe we're well covered in most positions. Some of the Summer signings are taking longer than others to get up to speed at Championship level, but that's to be expected. They're not pre programmed automatons.
    I thought Yiadom was very impressive yesterday. But I also think McCartrhy has played just as well at times this season.

    I thought yiadom was excellent yesterday and glad he is in the team, but what did McCarthy do to deserve to be dropped ?

    I'm not underestimating him at all. McCarthy is still a fine player. You've also got to consider he's a few years younger than Yiadom and has played less games

    Yiadom is a better defender & a better attacking full back. So far I've not been particularly impressed with McCarthy - I think he's got away with quite a lot but he'll get better.
