Wouldn’t be too surprised if they end up cancelling this. It’s going to be dominated by the head coach issue Now should nothing be said by the club in the next 24 hrs.
If we lose Hecky tonight could you ask why we have paid him peanuts and not secured him on a decent salary.
If Hecky goes then the blueprint for the future of Barnsley Football Club goes with him. Then wi foooked !!! As you say ......... this meeting has to be cancelled if Hecky is allowed to talk to Sunderland. I for one - will have to stay away from this meeting if we don't hear from Hecky in the next 24 hours to say he's staying.
I can't imagine anyone in the world not taking your needs into account when deciding their own future.
No matter what we offer PH Sunderland could if they wanted blow us out of the water.Parachute payments, crowds triple to what we get.I hope Paul stays but money talks. To blame Mr Cryne or the club in general is just childish and just fuels one or two folks with a personal vendetta. At the moment it isn't even an issue and I believe he will be here for the immediate future. If the offer comes in and the temptation is too great for him to turn down he will go with my gratitude on what he has achieved but then we move on to the next episode in our clubs history.
Good post. If we offer him £500k a year, they could offer him £1m. We can't compete financially and we will rely on him believing that his long term earnings will be better staying and achieving what he can here than moving to Sunderland now and being fired if they go down. Hecky will go. He's proven to be a brilliant coach. Players talk and it will be known within the game just how good he is. It just depends when he goes. I hope he stays for at least this season. But would wish him off with every best wish if he chooses to go and earn a fortune to look after his families long term interests.
That used to be the case. BUT - we reportedly have now a BILLIONAIRE along with a few others that are not without money in the process of buying Barnsley. Question is this - are these potential new owners going to allow assets from the business to be stripped while they are in negotiations to buy that business???
I would imagine all parties will be up to speed if there is anything happening. At the moment its all paper talk. The Sunderland local press are only reporting on Nixons report. So it shows how much they know.
