Instead of thinking that were doomed when Hecky goes and we’re heading for the trap door and our takeover is a load of old ballonie why don’t people look on the other angle that we have one of the best managers in the league, we’re on the verge of a takeover and we’ve assembled yet another squad from nothing who are starting to compete with the big boys in our league??

    Surely exciting times eh?

Glass half empty or half full.....

A really think some on here hope he pisses off just so the can say ‘told you so’

Not me, I'm very optimistic about where we are. People can be as negative as they want, that's their prerogative. I don't see the point in supporting something you don't actually support.

Or you could look at it that the manager is the one holding it together and if he goes it will be slightly detrimental to the club. If you want to look at potentially losing one of the best managers we have ever had as a positive, that's your look out.

I find it strange that the people that are so quick to believe the rumours of Hecky leaving are the same people that don't want to believe rumours about the takeover.

One would have thought that Hecky would be fully in the loop regarding the takeover. This would be significant with personal decision making. Hecky will have a long career managing football teams. Does he need to take this now? Of course he doesn't but if he does then fair enough, which would be hugely disappointing because he is a thoroughly decent man and manager.

From most of the posts I see on here apart from Hemsy, who we all know hates Hecky... What I see is denial that he'll go at all.
If Hecky goes I would see it as a huge backward step for Barnsley FC..

One thing that we all should have learned by now is that players and managers come and go, and that any success is to be enjoyed because it's usually followed by loss of what helped make that success.

Unless we grow deep pockets, we'll never keep anyone decent.

Last January we lost key players, and again at the end of the season, more key players walked away. The doom mongers were circling.

Have we disappeared into a black hole? No, we're still here, business as usual.

What's frustrating this this time we are on the verge of a potential takeover that is aimed to take us to the next level. Shocking timing.

a: PC is still our Owner
b: Hecky is still our Manager
c: Performances on the pitch are getting better.

Until any of the above change we should just get on with getting behind the Club & Team.
If there are changes, that is the time for the fans to think about the long-term future.

I'm positive too. This group of players is only going to get better as the season goes on and they get more experience from playing more games together. I think our second half of the season is going to be much better than the last one. Having our Head Coach linked to jobs is a good thing because it means we've got someone good in charge of us. If he does go the plan will continue with someone else in charge. They would probably give Clapham a chance to earn it and promote Sir Bobby to assistant. We've been around 130 years and lost so much amazing talent in that time and still around going strong in our natural second tier. The same will happen if we lose Hecky.

The thing is it’s not easy developing a young squad & it’s certainly not easy developing almost a full squad of them at once. Hecky’s proven he can do it & finding another with the same abilities will be hard.

Look at Mourinho, hailed as one of the best managers in the world yet has a poor record of developing young players
