Because that’s the information given below from Gally advising new and renewal memberships would be taken on the night paid and free options ?
What does one get for paying out a membership to the supporters trust? And what does membership entail? Havn't a clue....
I read it as 'digesting beaver' and assumed the meeting had taken a lively turn. You know what those French are like.
It was Alan Bloor. Gally very clearly pointed out it was available to free members. I also went as a free member. Was also Alan who asked everyone to turn phones off and declared it a private meeting. This is the type of thing that creates grief for the Supporters Trust. No need.
I had this experience once when trying to get into Redfearn's with my husband. My paid membership had expired a week or so before without me realising (my fault). When I showed my card I was informed (rather rudely) of the situation and was told I couldn't enter. Fair enough, so I asked if I could renew as a free member but was told no, I had to pay the £10 or I couldn't go in. My husband had planned on sign up for a free membership on the door but he wasn't allowed to do that either. We didn't have a spare £20 on us so we left. Not bothered going back since.
At the request of the club to be fair mate so not sure how this creates grief for the Supporter's Trust. You can't shoot the messenger.
I replied to your comment directly not the opening post, which was about announcing that it was a private meeting and phones must be put away. I can assure you that the Trust don't just decide a meeting has to be private.
