    I don't think so.

    Cant see him starting anyway. Williams, Moncur and Potts our strongest central 3 at the minute.

    Don't you think Sunderland made an approach for Hecky then? Strange they dropped their interest today without having even made an approach. Reckon they made an approach and Barnsley either said no, or Hecky did. Either way he went from their supposed top candidate to not.

    In fact your posts on here indicate (to me) that you want to spread as much happiness(before anyone else does, admittedly) without a trace of malice.

    Nor do you seek to sniff the air of superiority that certain smug others (like me) seek out.

    When you're wrong though you do go for it big style.

    Please don't encourage everyone to post possibles as facts.

    I suspect that there probably was contact and things were discussed unofficially, but it quickly became clear to Hecky what an absolute turd of a job it is, and he ruled himself out before anything made it to any sort of "official" level. I reckon that the difference between any potential salaries here and there wasn't as great as was reported, and that Sunderland’s transfer budget in January won't be that much bigger than ours, coupled with the fact that they've got a squad of atrocious players on stratospherically inflated wages.

    Obviously I'm purely speculating here, and absolutely none of this may have happened in reality. But I don't think it's beyond the realms.

    A very good manager, but he's really got his work cut out saving them this season. It sounds like the whole club is a rabble from top to bottom.

    When I'm wrong I go for what big style?

    I posted no different to what national press posted and that's probably because it came from the same source.

    Guess is that they were noted of Colemans availability/interest and any interest in Hecky was dropped at that point.

    Or they approached club today and either were told no, didn't want to pay compo (skint), or Hecky actually doesn't want to go. Same as O'Neill didn't.

    They are a cluster **** of a club. Hope they go down again.
