Leeds pressed us from the very first minute and we couldn't handle it. It's as simple as that really. We never got into any sort of rhythm and our game was absolutely littered with poor passing, individual errors and poor decision making. We don't create a lot at the best of times, so to be so off the pace is only going to end in tears.
Well you say there’s a simple reason - and then give four or five. All of which true, but not one reason. The simple reason is that we, to quote a line from the movie Still Crazy, were ‘absolutely, diabolically *****’.
Why be so pedantic? I'm not saying we played well. I'm saying they were in our faces from the first whistle and the result was we played badly.
Exactly. You have to win the right to play but today we didn't. I expected to be straight into them, but they were well up for it, we weren't, we lost.
They were at us from the first whistle and we couldn’t cope. There’s no way they could have kept that up for the full 90 but the goal just before half time completely killed off anything and allowed them to sit off second half. Saying that, even if it was 1-0 at half time we still wouldn’t have come away with any points today.
Yeah, we were saying if we could keep it at 1-0 by half time, we could change things and come out better. Famous last words "surely we can't be this bad in the second half" As you say, 2nd goal killed it, and probably scuppered heckys half time talk.
Yeah I was hoping we could hang on to 0-1 at half time, Hecky give them a rocket at half time and we come out better but I guess it was not meant to be!
