Dear George Moncur

Moncur is a luxury player that unfortunately we cannot accomodate at this moment in time. That said, there wasn’t a lot of passion yesterday and for me all round the team and that was the most disappointing thing.

 

Couple of weeks ago some people on this board were worried that George Moncur's contract was running out. I think the guy's a talented player and adds something different. Ok so the team has had a couple of stinking performances, but. picking on individuals isn't going to help. I remember the Oakwell crowd booing Danny Wilson during his playing days and giving the bird to Neil Redfern. One guy even called for Danny to be sacked on the eve of the Promotion season in the Chronicle. Think folk need to calm down.

 

Thats it, just close the BBS down now, nothing more needs to be said about anything, i mean obviously this is not the place for people to have their own opinions!! We should all just sit back and take what we are given, because it could have been worse than it is !!
How many were worried about Moncur`s contract by the way ?

 

Leeds result = total over reaction. Everyone has an opinion - which is great for this BBS - but that's mine. I've enjoyed watching PH's side more than any other manager since Danny. Prefer to dwell on the bigger picture here. And let's not forget Hecky has had to rebuild almost a complete side having his previous lot sold from under him when pushing for the play-offs. And he's having to do this at 2nd tier level.

 

Agree with all of that. But none of that precludes comment on shortcomings on a performance by performance basis.

 

This is what most people see as being the problem. Well, those of us who accept there is a problem.

 

You didnt say how many were concerned about Moncur`s contract ? It was real question .
I have absolutely no problem with people having an opinion, just with them telling others that they shouldn`t!

First match I’ve missed this season and glad I did.

 

Track back and you'll find Moncur's contract was mentioned as running down. Not sure way you thought I was trying to suggest having an opinion is wrong. I'm merely putting my views out there too.
