Even compared to Burton with their 4,000 gates and Bolton being £190m into their overdraft.

    Got to love the plan.

Have we ****, we spent 4 times the amount of Burton in the summer, they spent 500k. They won't have a huge wage bill either.

Thiam, our bench warmer cost twice more than there overall spend.

Our wage budget was the lowest last season according to Hecky and I expect it to be this season. We have a bigger transfer budget than Burton but a smaller wages budget.

Contractual reasons. Can't broadcast coverage over the web.

I bet Bolton spend more than us on wages. Madine’s on more than 10k a week.

Last season whilst playing in league one they had Mark Davies & Jay Spearing on 17 & 18k a week. Seriously.

I’d be surprised if Burton’s wages are higher than ours this season but I think they were last season when we had a smaller squad & they had some experienced loanees

So if Bolton are an example , paying higher wages might not be the answer

Paying crazy wages in league one no. But we don't know the figures involved. Paying enough to keep Watkins and scowen? Choosing not to sell Mark Roberts? These were options, we decided to continue to bring in young unproven players and develop them.
The risk is the increased chance of us being relegated. Now nothing is certain and it may pay off. But if we do go down it won't be Heckys fault or even the players but the choice to go with a full squad of young inexperienced players.

Burton have Joe Mason, Ben Turner and John Bradford to name a few that will be on higher wages than must of our lot.

Burton Albion paying some of their players more than us. Jesus wept.

As I understand it last season their wage budget was significantly bigger than ours.

Are we just tight or skint or both then? Because this wage cap of ours has lost us key players that would've had us higher up the table (Scowen, Roberts, Watkins). I know that isn't new information but ffs, Burton Albion.

They made profit of about £1.03m last season. Ours was about £13m.
