Hope he is. Would like to see what he can offer given most of our midfield have offered nothing the last few games.
Still need to be careful with him, i admit he deserves his chance, but he's not the world beater we all want, it will take him time to settle & get used to a level of football he hasn't played at before. With him not playing & us struggling at the moment, its understandable to want him in, but Hecky must want him to work on some part of his game where he sees a weakness, or he would have been in by now already.
Would be nice to have someone that can take a free kick. We had one on Tuesday with 3 players stood over the ball. Amazingly two of them had a touch before the shot came, by which time the Reading players had rushed the kicker. Also corners. Supposedly a free go at putting a ball into the opposing goal mouth, but we seem to prefer the silly short corner routine, which sometimes ends in the opposition charging up the field on the break.
Agree. We were never going to score as many from set pieces once Hourihane left, but the standard this season has been very poor. To say we've a few big lads like Lindsay, Potts, McDonald to aim for, we never score as they so often hit the first defender, go over everyone or are played short and then lost to the opposition before a ball has been put in.
could be a ploy to divert critiscism, include him then he breaks down with injury about 12 15 tomorrow lunch
Based on what exactly? If he’s not up to it yet he’s not up to it yet, regardless of the performance of others
