    I don't mean he's thick. I mean in football terms - lacks vision with regards to passing and always seem to be in the wrong place.

    He is definitely not slow physically. And he’s always the midfielder busting a gut to get in the box on attacks.

    He works his socks off and took some harsh criticism from fans on the chin. Came back and scored a goal.

    The lad is 22/23. Who's the finished article at 22/23? He's going to be a good if not great career. When he looks back on his time at Barnsley do we want to be thought of as ungrateful, harsh fans?

    Which of our midfielders is most likely to be busting his ****** to get on the end of a cross during a counter attack? Moncur? Not a chance? Gardner? Too busy planning how to lose his man at the next corner. McGeehan? Maybe. Mallan? Possibly. Potts? Definitely.

    Case and point: both of his goals at PNE and Sunderland.

    It tells me he can be relied upon to put a shift in as opposed to Moncur for example.

    I’ve mentioned his work rate. Although he’s a nearly man. Always nearly in the right place at the right time.

    You’ve clearly not seen him running into the box when we’re attacking then.

    I’m not saying he’s a world beater, far from it but he’s clearly not slow and has strengths that we can utilise. Chances are he’ll develop his game too, he’s in the right place for that after all.

    Was genuinely wondering if other fans saw this but I’m glad it’s not just me. Hopefully he’ll get on the end of a few more before the end of the season too.

    Do you and Conan ever disagree, by the way? I have mates who are at odds with me on all sorts. You two chaps seem to be on the same page about everything. Can’t say I’ve one mate I can say that about.
