Looks half decent for a conference team.

In other news, Sam Morsy playing for Wigan.

Bet they've spent more on it than the current regime has spent on Oakwell.

Morsy is their captain and is dictating midfield.

I wonder if we could have tried again for Morsy.

Was a big miss last season for me

I presume he's on more money than we're willing to pay now. He took a pay rise to stay at Wigan this time last year iirc.

    Are you sure about that?
I know the messing about with the loan terms on our part led to Wigan offering new terms but surely it was his choice to take them.
Don't blame him mind just don't kid anybody it's all about playing the highest grade football you can when imo.

Aye it definitely wasn’t his decision to choose more money instead of playing for the better team.

There was talk that the reason Linton Brown left Oakwell was due to him totally cocking up the Morsey transfer. Apparently it was signed, sealed and delivered until he intervened and moved the goalposts saying he wasn't worth what we were offering and the money would be better spent elsewhere. Don't know how much truth is behind it but I was told by someone who's been pretty accurate with a lot of other behind the scenes stuff at Oakwell. One the other hand, it could be complete nonsense.

They we have spent less than fylde but we have been promoted other season and are 6 points above the championship drop that would indicate a well run club. Also they was no point about kay just a question.

There was no longer an offer available from BFC....

Bear in mind they were still a Championship club at that point...
