I stand corrected, this is the place to officially blow smoke up arses amongst a few tongues and noses. The thing is, sometimes constructive critisism is needed in order to move forward. If the fans were all as one, then maybe much needed changes to the "plan" would happen.
The plan is fine but needs to be amended when you get promoted to expand both wage and transfer budget. We didn’t do this. You also need to be on the ball contractually. We aren’t. It also needs to be flexible occasionally retaining a player such as Roberts is more important than a few quid.
Yes, we needed experience, much like now. We brung Hammill back, and loaned Kevin Long. We then improved massively.
You're not allowed to keep bringing this up on here. Some will say it has been mentioned before. Others, like me, will say you are absolutely spot on. But you still aren't allowed to say it.
Hammil and long were here before Johnstone went!! Can't believe your trying to take credit ,there wasn't one player you said weren't good enough, then when results came your saying I told you so. There were plenty on here saying we weren't playing that bad at the time and but you weren't having it. My memories not that bad.
Johnson cannot take credit for our turnaround that season, had not certain people had words in his ear about tactics and style of football we would have finished bottom half of the league. He was against signing Hammill for starters.
Not talking about Johnstone I'm talking about your comments about players. Your posts weren't just about Johnson .
Most of those players were underperforming along with Johnson. We knew why once Johnson all of a sudden changed tactics and formation.
Plus, I'd say we need to allocate some coin for a few experienced players that won't have any re-sale value. I think they see the transfer fees/wages on that kind of player as wasted money, rather than a kind of loss leader that could lead us to being an all round better team.
Absolutely rubbish. Lee Johnson wanted to sign Adam Hammill. He was desperate to get some quality and experience in even trying to convince the board to sign Kevin Nolan. Those above did not want to sign him as he was the exact type of player who didn't follow the plan. Johnson not wanting to sign Adam Hammill really is rubbish he signed him and played him every game he could!
I said this back in July, and I've not seen anything to tell me I was wrong: i love the way that scratching around the lower leagues and places in Scotland most people couldn't find on a map is some great strategy all of a sudden. If this years crop turn out to be good enough to see us all right in the championship I'll perhaps have some faith in it, until then it looks more like a man drowning then waving from where I'm stood.
