Shocking tactics yet again. Game after game well beat, 4 matches no open play goals, performances beyond bad. Something has to change ASAP!!!!

 

The players are not good enough. We have chopped and changed all season. It's not like you look at the bench and think why aren't these lads starting? We have a league one/two squad and it shows.

 

Get a grip lad. Hecky has not become a bad manager overnight. You know .....that Hecky who got us promoted, won took us to Wembley and won us a trophy kept us up when he had the rug pulled out from under him last January.

He has had to try and recreate a winning team to hit the ground running with young untested, inexperienced players from lower leagues. Once was hard enough but twice is proving a bridge too far. Name one manager who could do a better job in the circumstances.

The only answer is likely to be an injection of cash and the January transfer window.

But get rid? Are you serious? We had a much worse run in league one, with a better squad of players, and didn’t sack Johnson.

You don’t sack family men near Christmas after all.

We won’t get four points from derby and Brentford I wouldn’t think. Another five points up to and including Preston I’d take.

 

He's made some poor decisions and team selections. But at the end of the day, he has only been managing a senior side for about 2 years in total. He's just as inexperienced as the squad, but he will learn. Have faith in Hecky, we'll be reyt. Some additions in January and dropping a couple of players who look like they cant be @rsed will do us wonders

 

We have sold all our good players and replaced em with less good ones. Anything other than relegation will be an absolutely massive achievement

Tactics have been unacceptable. Performances have been unacceptable.This season has now so far been unacceptable.

Oh no putting the blame in the wrong place.

The standard of the playing squad is unacceptable.
The decsion to flog our captain was unacceptable.
The decsion not to sign any experienced players was unacceptable.
The decsion not to sign any quality players was unacceptable.

 

Wilson mk2 was poor all along though.

Hecky has shown himself able and has credit in the bank. His ‘past glories’ are not the best part of two decades ago as Wilson’s were at the time.

And, if he’s replaced, what do you think will happen? They’ll abandon the whole ethos of the club, bring in an older, experienced and expensive manager and allow him to sign older, experienced and expensive players?

No, as and when Hecky leaves we will promote from within or get a young guy in, and he will be expected to work with kids with no experience of the division.

Is Hecky the best manager in the division? Quite possibly not. There are a lot more than three worse ones though, so we are probably punching above our weight still having him.

Be very careful what you wish for. I’m not sure we’d be on twenty points and four above the bottom three under too many other managers.

We cannot carry on this way, 100% agree. But if you think changing the manager will change anything fundamental you are mistaken I would say. We’d just end up with someone else trying to shuffle a deck of twos threes and fours and try to win poker hands against picture cards. You can’t always deal three or four of a kind.

Hecky stays no matter what in my book!

He's trying to polish a humongous turd.

 

So when we were just outside the top 6 in this division round about this time last year, I presume you were quite happy - we were after all, the same time the year before, rock bottom of League 1.

Then, in January last year, we manage to dispose of 3 of our best players. And then go on in summer to repeat the dose.

So the manager then has to find replacements in the bargain basement bin. When he's got time cos he's got to run most aspects of the club whilst we fanny about looking for a replacement for a Chief Exec.

The season goes ok until a couple of weeks ago.

And now you want him out cos you think it's all his fault.

I respect your judgment.

I disagree with him but if Hecky wasnt from Barnsley the vast majority would be wanting his head.
