451 moncur same things over and over. Young players low on confidence young manager who has always had momentum and a good squad before this season. Need to try something different in the formation. No goals from open play in 4 now. Conceded 9

It’s nowt to to with formations. It’s to do with not having enough players up to it at the present time

After Norwich we had 1 defeat in 8 now we have 4 defeats on bounce a young inexperienced squad at this level a young head coach who has been blessed with a good squad with momentum behind them untill last January. We haven' scored from open play since Norwich we create very little at 451 midfield is gash. I would try with wing backs we have the players for it.

What system did we play in that run on 1 defeat in 8?

I don’t think Hecky’s Head has dropped but the players have.

The impact of the players having a lack of belief that the team can score also shouldn’t be underestimated.

While ever we have bradshaw up front on his own we will struggle to score, unless its a 'worldy' from barnes or hammill. Still not convinced bradshaws good enough at this level.

Yiadom has been in poor form for the past few games and it' still like he is unstoppable if I was hecky I'd be fuming with his part in the 3rd today play fryers and McCarthy . Moncur same keeps picking him even after dismal performanes and effort in previous games. And it' true what I said hecky has always been blessed with a good squad and one full of momentum be interesting to see if he can turn it around

He has only been in management year before that. His players I'm afraid suggested to him by "the plan" but his players. And his tactics.

They aren’t his players then. Not getting into this futile debate again with you

If you honestly think he’d rather sign a non league laiker like Mallon than keep Scowen then you might as well come out now and say you want him out

They are his signings he has the final say just like Wilson did with Conor and Sam and lee Jay did with mawson and watkins. I don' want him sacked I'd be happy him to take us down he is one of our own and I actually like him. But they are his players no one would let someone else 100 percent pick the players.

The piece you consistently fail to grasp or appreciate is that the quality of player on that list is a) unknown b) has not moved forward since we signed Conor et al. And now we are in a harder higher division.

We’ve also no idea how far down the list these players might be...

We have got what we have got, unless the takeover happens don't expect many signings in January we will just fill our quota of loans as our owner is dying. Hecky can turn this around and anybody who wants hecky out I have no time for, being one of our own is more important now than ever.
All we can do is cheer instead of boo, encourage instead of slag off and make noise at oakwell instead of stay silent and pray we stay up, that Patrick 's family cope and the takeover happens.

I’m sorry, but the owners health status should have no bearing on what we do or don’t do in January, especially given the amount of money the club has netted in the last 18 months

But for all we know he said yes to these players because the other options were even worse.

    Exactly.

Or that better players were identified but couldn’t be recruited because we could afford them/didn’t move fast enough

Why would you take in players that aren’t good enough? That’d be just outright dumb. Especially when it’s ‘HIS’ club, his boyhood team. You just wouldn’t do it. So which players did he, himself sign? Of course we’re all going to say he pushed through the Williams, Barnes, Lindsay ones. All the rest he didn’t sign, right? Come on, we can’t defend his transfer record. He’s made mistakes in the past in terms of signings (Sessi, Kpekawa, Mowatt, Moncur, Kayden Jackson, Stefan Payne, Callum Elder, Elliot Lee...and this continues with Fryers, Potts, Pearson, McGeehan, Cavare et al). I get that there’s financial restrictions in place but you’re in the Championship. You can’t afford to take gambles on non league and league 2 players in the hope that you’ll get maybe 1 out of 5 being a success. I’d rather him sign players who have played in this league, maybe lost their way and give them an environment to perform again...and yet, he continues to select players that aren’t performing, then harps on about giving players chances to play and seeing if they’re good enough. Well play the feckers then!!!

If your ‘alleged’ first string aren’t up to much, what’s the harm in playing a Jared Bird. It’s 20 games in now and if you don’t know which players are ‘up to it’ then it is VERY concerning. Yes there’s an obvious lack of experience in selecting such players but there’s a hunger present, which too many of the first team seem to lack.

    And breatheeeeeeeeeee

Il simplify your post for you.

All football managers buy players who aren’t as good as they’d hope.

There that was easy, now I’m off to see what Leroy Lita is up to.

Think you miss understood. I believe he signed the best players that were available to us. However that list of players was further restricted by our strict wage structure and players having to be young.
