I'm currently paying £74 per month for sky, with no broadband or phone, and thinking of changing over to Now TV.

    Anyone else done it?

I'd never heard of it until now. Bought a Android box last year and couldn't get much on it.

Can you watch sky sports, BT sports etc without having to **** about with it?

I pay for the Entertainment Pass, Movies Pass and Sports Pass each month. You get 4 devices so it’s ideal if you have more than one TV in the house or if you’ve got an iPad, etc.

It’s incredibly easy to set up, it’s a simple case of logging into the app and clicking “Watch Now”.

Is IPTV more legal for watching subscription content than a Kodi add-on?

Got a better deal with Sky yesterday mate by going through to their retentions team, I can find the direct number for you if you want it.

I was paying £76 per month for the full Sky+ HD tv package, and had fibre broadband / phone seperately with TalkTalk, just out of contract. I've dropped to doing 4 days per week at work so wanted to trim some costs down. Have to say that the woman I spoke to is one of the best examples of customer service I've experienced, just hassle free "negotiation", no arguments, ultimatums etc. Pleasure to deal with.

Outcome is that I've now gone with them for fibre broadband, phone/line rental, and the same full tv package for a combined cost of £70, tied in for 18 months. Also have option of Sky Q 2TB upgrade (2 extra rooms) for an extra 25-30 quid including free box. They've also not applied any connection or admin fees. I think the TV package is now about £41.00 per month in isolation.

Also switched to Bulb for gas and electricity so I'm saving something like £90 per month overall.

IPTV app is on Samsung and LG smart tv's, you can buy the app for about £2/£3. Once you have the app you buy the codes off eBay, the app works like a tv guide. Every channel you could imagine and a bit of blue for dad's.

I'm halfway into a contract with first utility for my landline and broadband so can't do owt with that for now but the tv package sounds good.

I think the NowTV equivalent is about £50 without any kids channels.

I don't need them. I come on here for that

They seem to be keen to retain customers at moment, give it a go mate. I'd been given a heads up at the last home game by one of the guys I sit next to that a price under £50 was possible.

03332 022135 is an automated line that will take you to retentions after answering 3 or 4 questions (mention cancelling tv package) or 03330 413018 for direct cancellations.

The obvious difference and advantage to NowTV in my opinion is that you can cancel at any time so if you find that you’re not watching the movies, or that the football season has finished and you aren’t benefitting from the sports pass then you can simply cancel the pass, save yourself the money and restart it again whenever you like, as opposed to being tied in for 12/18 months or whatever it is. That’s definitely the major advantage for me.

I found myself buying the weekly passes whenever I wanted them, or monthly if I knew I was going to be using it.

I watch sports all year round on sky but I honestly didn't know they weren't showing the ashes series.

That's pretty poor considering they've put the price up this year.

I seem to be paying more for less.
