Saw him at Morecambe the other week, great character, got stick and just smiled and got on with his game applauding the fans....and made life very difficult for the Morecambe defence, scored their goal........best chant of the day...your tits are offside...your tits are offside......

Adebayo Akinfenwa is a great character and a very effective player at that level. The game has precious few characters like him. That pen at Cardiff tho.... :D

Re the BBC, what a pleasure it was to see a highlights programme done correctly. Just like the strangely criticised Football League Show, the format was spot on. Goals, highlights, concise analysis then move on. No breaks, everything included, great stuff. Channel 5 and the gimmicky, 'magazine style' highlights package just simply doesn't come close in quality. I'd happily take Claridge back rather than what we have to put up with on C5 every Saturday night.

Could be 22 goals in 58 games that gets him a start every week?
