An away game anywhere in the Midlands will do me. Either that or an away game somewhere we've never played (at least in my lifetime). Please God not a home tie.
Aye. I haven't enjoyed the 160 mile round trips in 2017. And I know there's people on here who travel a lot further than me too.
Two of my mates travel up from Guildford and Walton on Thames for the home games. One of them says it's getting a bit of a chore coming up for the home and Northern games.
Both from Hemsworth originally. One of them is now blind and still travels up. He lived at Brighton, Port Slade and Worthing when he was still working on the trains. They laughed at me last week at Reading. Supporters club set off at 1 and had us there 3 hours before kick off. Those two didn't set off until after tea lol
Can't make the game if it's on Saturday, so selfishly I wouldn't mind us and Aston Villa both being knocked out so we can play each other on 4th round day as currently scheduled! But, as ever, a preferable draw would be one of the big clubs at home, or an away tie at a lower league ground. Lincoln away if they're still in it, somewhere like that. Never really fancy a trip to one of the biggest clubs. After the intital excitment of seeing Old Trafford or Stamford Bridge, it's likely that a very embarassing and confidence destroying defeat would follow (Anfield 2008 a very notable excpetion).
Been once, a League cup game in 2009. They seem to enjoy moving the away fans every two or three seasons! Great little ground and a good city to visit.
