Earlier in the season I asked the question, would blunts season unravel in January. One or two people didn't think they had players that anyone would be interested in.

Same subject was brought up on radio deedar, and the blunts fans and presenters alike said it was doubtful.

Just into December, blunts haven't won any of their last 3 and in danger of sliding out of the top 6, and then this.

Might be just a rumour, but the very mention of Villa nicking their top scorer in January just reminds me of winnall to Wednesday last season.

I'd love for them to lose all their best players in January. LOVE IT!!!

Brian the blade was so smug when we lost our prize assets and said it wouldn't happen there.

    We'll soon find out.

Losing Coutts was a big blow. January will indeed be interesting.

Showing themselves to be a one man team with Coutts injured. He's like a not as good version of Conor Hourihane for them, as he makes them tick and makes them around him look better than they are, just like Conor did for us.

Momentum is a wonderfully effective thing to have in football. Sheffield Utd and Barnsley have both stormed into this league off the back of a wonderful end of season and hit the ground running. But either through injuries, sales or just time, momentum can easily be lost and then it gets interesting. Blades to finsih about 10th for me, said it all season, although I did accept the ad a decent play-off shout a fortnight ago. Like us, a top half finish would be fantastic. Unlike us, a top half finish might not be seen as fantastic by the Blades faithful.

Re Leon Clarke to Villa, it wouldn't surprise me as it makes sense. I do hate it though when a club hoovers up players from rivals in a promotion push. The parallels are similar with Sam Winnall and I fully expect Clarke to jump at the chance to return to the Midlands.

Although I wouldn't lose any sleep if the Blades season fell apart, I am beginning to ******* hate Aston Villa, the god awful level of inequality that parachute payments brings and the way that Villa seem to think that they can hoover up everyone who shows form at any rival club.

Same reason wendys wanted winnall. So we didn't have him. Villa take him and that's potentially one less club to worry about in their promotion push.

Wrong that clubs can afford to speculate money on this kind of thing, but the more clubs that come down with parachute money, the more it will happen.

Be terrible if a horrific injury to one of their players completely derailed their season.

All that's needed now is for Burton fans to boo Coutts next time he plays against them, and that would be karmageddon.

BOO! How dare you have a leg which gives way under the impact of an absolutely sickening challenge? BOO! BOOOOOOOO!
