Sit down or risk losing seat warning to Norwich City fans - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-norfolk-42265978
I sit next to back row in the ponty and the guys behind us stand all game so I can basically choose wether I want to stand or sit. It's a much bigger issue in a stand down the side of a pitch. We all know safe standing needs to brought in.
Safe standing should be brought in and sitting should mean sitting, Not gonna keep repeating what obvious problems standing now brings but I see conflict time and time again , Sort it out
Couldn't agree more. As I say I often stand at Oakwell but the guys behind us (on the back row) don't mind at all. Would sit if I was further down. Often causes a lot of problems at away games. Where some will want to stand and those behind don't want to or can't. We call it safe standing after the Taylor report when really we just needed rid our self of unsafe stadiums. Standing isn't unsafe when not fenced in and over populated.
Agree with that , when I went to away matches i didn't mind if someone wanted to stand in front of me as I can stand also ,but since I've been taking the grandkids it's more of a problem. Some think the problem is solved by advising kids to stand on seats but they still couldn't see. Most were courteous and sat and got those in front to sit but there are some real Neanderthals watching football who couldn't care less . At Wembley I saw one of these get a wallop from some of the fans and most were saying it was they're own fault . There was a big group of them and they thought everyone would back down but when he got a wallop it was his mates who bvjed down when they realized the crowd around were uniting against them. But it shouldn't be this way if sitting is enforced as it should by the powers that be there would be no problems but minimum wages stewards aren't gonna call it .
