    I presume by "just before", you mean about a year (Neil Armstrong was July 20th 1969 @ 20:18 UTC) - or the Port Vale match was sometime in 1969...

    It was February 98, Wimbeldon aged 5. A 2 1 Win and a rare one in the premier league.

    2 goals from Jan Arge Fjortoft remember drawing at Plough Lane last away game on a Monday evening in May 1979 when we drew 1 each and both Barnsley amd the Wombles were promoted to Division3. Wimbledon went from Southern League to Premier League in 13 years. The crazy gang are hoping to go back to Plough Lane next season. Nice time to be a Reds supporter in Premier League season good run in FA Cup as well.

    Hi Jacqueline, I'm 56, former Nurse, now working with Additional Needs Learners. I loved working in Primary schools but felt I was being pushed away because I was a man. I'm married to a Teacher and understand the difficulties of being a Teacher in the UK. It's great to hear of a young woman who supports their local team. I hope you will enjoy the discussions on here, they are not always negative or offensive, but sometimes even moving and informative.
