So after months of negotiations we agree everything the EU want and end up as Norway. **** me I could’ve done that in an hour and been in the Mount by lunchtime. Massive bill check. Freedom of movement to continue check. Membership of Cu and SM check. No hard border check. Little say on anything now check. Reight mines a pint. We negotiate like a crack addict with a stolen x box in Cash Convertors.
Which we could have had anyway for a lot lesson than £40bn (or the several hundred million we are paying for the company producing the new passports)
Just think.... its taken how many months? To negotiate what frankly are simple things. Do we want war in Ireland.... duh, obviously not. Have we signed contracts we're liable for... erm, yes.... have to pay that then. Do we want our people abroad, or the people here from the EU to be damaged and their rights impinged.... I'd very much hope not. So we've negotiated nothing. Good luck with getting cake and eat it in the remaining short time on. Its already too late and businesses are leaving. Jobs, tax take, pah... who needs them anyway?
So it looks like we're keeping all the things the Brexiters didn't want but losing any influence and having to pay a hell of a lot more for the privilege. The 'negotiation' can only be classed as a 'cave-in' and the £40m is a drop in the ocean, as there'll also be a multi-billion a year cost for the trade deal too. Still the words on the brexit bus look like they were very nearly right - £350m extra per week from the NHS. Glad I voted to remain but that lovely person Cameron has a lot to answer for.
I've just posted this somewhere else, but either Farage is the EUs greatest double agent, or he is going to spend the rest of his life living in his own version of hell. A lesser man than me might suggest that he deserves everything he has fought for.
