309 votes 305. Parliament gets to scrutinise any Brexit deal the Govt negotiates, MPs will vote on it, and if need be send the Govt back to the negotiating table. In your face May and her Cronies.
That maybe, but this was an important victory for democracy, after all the referendum was cross party, so why not the final say of the Brexit deal?
Yes I know, Sorry if my reply sounded a little’off’ I’m so chuffed about this outcome and considering what the alternative would’ve been.
Never said she wasn’t, but she didn’t want Parliament to have a vote on The outcome of Brexit negotiations though
Well I have a clue what’s going on here, she and her govt lost the vote in Parliament tonight meaning the outcome of Brexit negotiations will be put before MPs.
I guess it's a double edged sword. The vote will delay brexit negotiations, rightly so. But increase the period of financial instability.
So if it goes to a final vote and the governments negotiated deal is voted down. We leave the EU in March 2019 with no deal ie. A Hard Brexit.
No they go back to negotiations. It will also effect how this Govt. Approaches the negotiations as well.
But article 50’s already triggered. We leave in March 2019. So the vote would be on whether no deal is better than a bad deal.
The article 50 notice is withdrawable and May would be obliged to withdraw it if parliament opposed her deal and no deal.
