There's plenty of time left for things to change, and we did go on a decent run of 1 defeat in 8 games before this miserable run.

But, I've got to say yes at the minute. The drop in quality from last season (obviously mainly pre-January transfer window, but even after with Scowen, Watkins, Robbo etc.) is astounding and even when we've won we've often not looked convincing. The only game I've seen us play well in from start to finish was Millwall away, I wasn't at the Sunderland home game but I'm guessing we played well then too. We've a young, inexperienced side who at the moment just aren't good enough collectively. I can't see how we're going to stay up at present but I'll be delighted to be proven wrong.

So if we keep Hecky, send Ugbo and Gardner back but stick with 4-5-1 with Potts on the wing and Hammill on the bench???

    I've got a headache.

on current season form its a strong possibility although a lot of fans have rose tinted glasses.
we are in a black hole at the minute with no light at the end of the tunnel as far as I can see.
we are seeing poor performances from poor players .I don't know wether the boys v men tacktic is to blame but it isn't working.

Who is to blame....I don't know but previous managers have been sacked for better results.
Answer this if Hecky wasn't one of our own would he be in charge now (I doubt it) having said that who is going to sack him, if and I mean if we are to have a take over
would they want a club without a manager, or will they bring in someone new to protect there investment ( relegation and league one aren't a good prospect or investment

If I ever thought that we would be relegated at this stage of a season then I would pack in going.

    Hope not.

We just have to string 2 or 3 wins together then everything will look better,

There is always light at the end of the tunnel in football. It's cyclical.

Or failing that, maybe we could string 2 or 3 passes together.

No way will we get relegated. Too many fans are pessimistic, and for home matches this is evident from the lack of any atmosphere. And don’t get me on to booing young lads....

We need a goal scorer, January is so important otherwise staying up this season could be a step too far for our young team. Not their fault we are in a league full of highly paid, experienced and quality players, even with a few good signings it's going to be tough, the teams have settled down and they are starting to align to the true place in the division. Sunderland are improving, Sheffield utd sliding and with Norwich, Reading Fulham mid table it shows how strong it is.

If we survive it will be a great season and we should all look forward to celebrating that not being miserable for not challenging for the playoffs which this year realistically we had no chance of doing.

I think that the oakwell shop should stop selling rose tinted glasses IF WE DONT CHANGE PLAYERS MANAGEMENT AND THE DECISION MAKERS VERY SOON league one is a very real possibility. The difference between a good championship sde and a poor one is very small I think that we are close to being good but its not quite there. We only need a few changes in key positions and I'm sure we can survive but at present its not looking promising

You do realise 3 teams go down no matter what. So every team in the league could
"CHANGE PLAYERS MANAGEMENT AND THE DECISION MAKERS"
and still 3 teams would go down. It's not the end of everything if we do go down.

Most boring phrase ... rose tinted glasses. Just because someone else has a different view.

The fans of Pompeii United said the same thing just before FIFA docked them points for not completing the season. There was no coming back after that.

Agreed. Some people seem to overlook that the whole point of the league structure is that teams can pass between divisions based on successful or poor seasons.

Even Burton fans are moaning because they're struggling. They're used to being successful, having come up through the leagues and now their expectation levels have risen.

No one wants to be relegated, but without it we wouldn't have had our two playoff wins and jpt final, and another golden era, albeit a short one, to add to the previous ones.

You can't expect things to be the same all the time without chuckling the money at it, and even then it's not a given. Ask Birmingham and Sunderland.

Just look at Newcastle. One of the biggest clubs in the league. Big willy wavers in this league but premier league strugglers and becoming a potential yo yo club.

You have to enjoy the good times and have the good grace not to want to sack everyone when it's not so good.
