Whether we stay up or not this season I've no doubt we'll be able to buy better players and pay the good ones we've got more money, so things are looking bright either way
Sorry, are you saying despite this apparent new investment we shouldn't look to spend a little bit more on better quality players and up the wages of our current good players? There's a difference between doing that and doing what the likes of Portsmouth, Bolton et al did
I just want us to be more competitive in terms of attracting and retaining players. That should breed better results on the pitch. Obviously I'd love another crack at the Premier league, but that's a long term goal. Being more competitive in the league we're in at the minute will suffice.
I don't think this ownership model is akin to the more spendthrift ones - which is possibly a reason why they've been accepted by the Cryne family.
You don't have to spend the amount they did and still end up in financial difficulty. Im hoping the contract has some safeguarding in it from Mr Cryne to ensure that's not a possibility.
Me too. However, this is potentially the best opportunity this club has ever had to both establish itself at this level and who knows, maybe even kick on to a higher level. Sensible investing of our newly gained resources could make this a reality.
