It’s always been good but today’s was exceptional. Telephone interviews with Andy Liddell, Ethan Pinnock, Adam Oxley and Sam Winnall were a joy to listen to. The lads pitched their questions just right and Lidds, Ethan and Sam responded with intelligence, humour and great insight. I know there are plenty who “hate” SSW for leaving the way he did but the way he talked about those great days towards the end of the season showed how much passion he had for the club. He spoke very well about BFC and if there were a way to get him back in January I would be very pleased to see him. Bringing his best mate Conor as well would put us in the frame for a top six finish.
Just listened to it and totally agree. Really interesting what Lidds had to say about that ere and a good interview with SSW. Was a bit taken aback when he talked about the club not showing much interest in keeping that squad together and pushing on which made him choose to want to move on, Interesting
Ahh just made a separate thread about this but agreed! Always look forward to listening to this while I am at work
Will listen to it later. Always a great podcast. Hell will freeze over before Sam comes back here. He is a quality player at this level, but would cost us too much. I don't see big money signings in Jan. A bit of experience & behind the scenes help to keep us up. Next few seasons could be good.
I'm sure you are right but it's still a shame that he went in the manner that he did. He spoke well today but then again he can say what he likes in public
He had passion for money and for himself. He's nothing but a selfish ***** who screwed the club over the first chance he got and **** on the fans
Good for him, he’s dead in my eyes. Signing for them on the day of Rimmos funeral is unforgivable. He signs for us, I wouldn’t go again until he left.
Everybody is entitled to their opinion but I think a lot of this misses the point. I was irritated by his leaving but no more than I was with the club buggering up the team at that time. Didn’t blame him when he ran the length of the touch line when he scored either. If i’d Got that dogs abuse i’d Have done at least the same. BUT as for having him back. You’re kidding aren’t you. He often struggled in league 1 until Hammil kick started the revival and suddenly players who hadn’t performed started to. In the Championship, he a bit of a purple patch but again he’s looked pretty limited, so - nothing against the lad personally but i’m Not convinced he can hack it at this level, and the evidence since he left doesn’t offer a lot of encouragement either.
carlo's a sound bloke and obviously far more forgiving than me. personally i wouldn't give sam winnall a drop of air time
It's irrelevant what rat face says and thinks, that is the past its gone, we have a new time to get excited about.
And their ambitions are.....? Not one of them is doing anything of note. I can't see any getting promoted. For ambition, read 'more money'.
Tha spot on pal. Roberts - could be playing league one football next season. Scowen - championship next season. Marley - splinters in his arse, championship next season. Bree - who? Hourihane - if Villa, get promoted he’ll be ****** off for better, if he signs for Brighton, they’ll be playing championship football anyway. Winnall - bench warming in the championship. Yiadom - would he really sign for Swansea? Good god. Only successes are our academy lads Stones & Holgate and Mawson if he leaves Swansea in the summer. Roll on the new era, god bless the old one.
Did not having much ambition to keep that squad together mean we didn't want to give him a 400%pay rise? Did he talk well of his time at BFC before the multi billionaires took over?
