He gives the ball away far too often for me. Although I don't think we have anyone else who can play that position in front of the back 4

Disagree mate, he makes the most accurate passes on our team every week since the start of the season always looks forwards and Got 81% pass completion on Saturday again the highest in our team according to whoscored.com the lads a class act, don’t think he gets the credit he deserves but it’s all opinions ay that’s why we love the game

Why shouldn’t he tell it how it is?

Of course he knows how much he has got to spend, why would he tell the media though and put it out there for clubs to put a bigger price on their players.

On here in the last couple of days, I've read that we should sign Alexander Mitrovic, Danny Ings, David Nugent and Chris Martin amongst others. There's absolutely no chance whatsoever that we will be signing any of those players.

I agree we need more experience, but if anyone thinks we'll be forking out multiple millions and bloating our wage budget, then I think they'll be disappointed.

You are right & also , do people genuinely think players of this ilk would come to Barnsley & risk their reputations in a relegation fight !

    You
You have just backed up my point really, proven championship players will go to the highest wage packet & their agents will make sure they can insure a bidding war & I agree with you , try & compete but do not go daft , but I think struggling teams who are still getting parachute payments , will throw silly money at it

Ganye was brought in as the man to sell the club, would hazard he is replaced after a short period. I’m aware hecky doesn’t choose signings himself, but neither will he have them foisted on him. Balance of squad is wrong but this is a little to do with missing out on players (McBurnie) and others being crap (Mowatt, Ugbo, Thiam)

    Very reasoned first post.
You're going to be a real asset to this forum if you carry on speaking sense like this.

Thanks, much appreciated. Recently moved away from tarn, not getting to as many games on my season ticket as I used to. Figured this would be a good way to keep in touch with what’s going on.

Why’s it Ganaye’s fault? He’s not a scout. We’ve got 2 players for every position. He agreed the McBurnie deal but Swansea made a balls us of it.

He can only bring in what the scout / spreadsheet system recommend to him.

As far as I’m aware there’s no deals he’s made a mess of.
