    Lots of huffing & puffing, but the houses aren't moving.
    Will the board & CEO help the coach do his job?
    Almost a week has passed, where Hecky could have been working with any new signings.

    No official announcements, other than loanees returning and a couple out for loan.

    Suggest anyone at the New Den takes their boots.

    Wrong. How could Hecky know what budget he was working to, I would hazard a guess that plan a was cheap and cheerful and plan b was Hecky rubbing his hands together hoping the takeover went through to get the players he really wanted

    They planned for the window in advance and guess what????
    7 incoming signings in the championship so far.

    He said time and time again they couldn't plan because they didn't know who would be in charge - 7 incoming signings by 24 clubs in the championship - that's loads :-/

    That may well be true, but no plan survives first contact, so I am not too worried. We are 5 days into the window and it is not too unusual for Barnsley not to have done any business by then.

    This is a very good point. "Same old Barnsley" doesn't apply anymore, and just expecting the worst just because things haven't gone well before is just idle thinking.

    Time for everyone to get with the plan.

    “Impossible to plan” is ********, and I’m disappointed Hecky is peddling such nonsense. He should - and probably does - have a long list of potential transfer targets. The takeover simply determines which names of that list are now achievable. The planning should have started as soon as the McBurnie loan fell through in September.
