    Is anyone else having problems with BT broadband today. Mine has been proper iffy all week and today its just about unuseable. Up and down like a tarts knickers.

    Looking on the web it seems there loads of outages up and down the country but just trying to confirm if it affecting the whole of our area or just me.

    Mine was almost unusable last night dropping every few seconds but haven't been home yet today to check

    Can't say I've noticed anything amiss.
    You could give the freephone automated service line a call - 0800 169 0199. Comes in handy when the connection is completely missing. Not that I use it much, BT are pretty reliable for me.

    I checked when I got home and it was still playing up, so rebooted the router and my phone + tablet and it’s seems to be working much better now

    If you ever have problems again, go to status.zen.co.uk (if you can), enter your number and it will detail if there is a major service outage or planned engineering works.

    Tried the reboot. Been faffing with it all day tbh. Nothing. Internet dropping all the time. The forum on down detector is interesting reading. Lots of unhappy people on there.

    I'm sure you know this, but if it is only use that is having problems, check if you're losing sync. If so, try your master/test socket to see if it makes a difference. If you're not losing sync, check it's not the wifi.

    Logged a fault with BT. They have confirmed there is an outage problem in the area. Due to be fixed by Tuesday. He maxed the line speed for me to compensate and it's at least reasonable now, at least whilst it up.
