I understand why players celebrate but can also understand why some wouldn't. If for example I started out at Barnsley but moved in to another club I don't think I'd be able to celebrate if I scored against us. I don't really think it's about respect but more about mixed feelings. I'd be happy to have scored for my club but I'd also be a little sad that Barnsley had conceded

    Cheers for the info
wsant there but the reaction I witnessed on the fl show was a player acknowledging an assist from a team mate rather than a celebration .
Not bothered either way tbh I are it with a pinch of salt just as I heard Redfearn jumping about when Oldham scores against us a couple of seasons ago. True or not it doesn’t bother me .

If you think he's "one of the best players we have ever had" you've either only been watching us for 10 years or you've suffered a nasty knock to the head...

Yeah everyone should move on and when you score from the club you're paid to do well for, you should. Sometimes it can go overboard like last season with Winnall though.....Don't think anything would beat for us though Andy Payton nearly crying when he scored for us against his beloved Burnley who were in a relegation battle.

Hey, he was good... But anyone over age of 40 could name 20 players we had better than him.

In that context then yes a club you have supported all your life. Or if its a very special connection like 10 years at club. It's down to the individual, I have no problem at all with it and don't see why anyone would.

Better than Hourihane? If we're talking about attacking players, it's a tough one.

    Hignett
    Hendrie
    Redfearn
    Ward

Brian Howard was immense, but I personally think Hourihane is the better player.

Martin Bullock was one of the most outrageously gifted footballers I've ever seen, but Hourihane is probably a better all round player.

Vaz Te on his day was unplayable, but he probably wasn't with us for long enough to be considered in the all time list. Although his hat trick against Leeds would bring him close even if he'd never scored another goal for us in his career.

I’m over 40. I have seen Glavin, Redfearn Hignett and Frimpong and he is in my top 10.

Well thanks for the patronising superior tone mate.

but whether you like it or not, Conor was always an uncompromising git on the pitch.

to think that leopards such as these can change their spots at will is, quite frankly ridiculous.

But by all means keep up with your "son" and "wise up".

    Darling.

Top lad. Met him after the JPT final, was brilliant for us and is now probably PL-bound and trying hard for his employers of 12 months as he would for us had we met Plymouth during his time with us. Players come and go through our club like most clubs, I really don't understand any antigonism towards him.
