    What? So because he earns a lot of money he HAS to donate it to some club he doesn't even know? What do you make of all the unknown billionaires in the world?

    I never said anything about him donating any money to Hartlepool utd , why do you make things up ? I was highlighting the fine lines between the Premier leagues elite & the not so well off down the food chain & please , if you are going to quote me, get your facts right

    I honestly have no issue with a footballer earning obscene amounts of money just as I don’t have any issue with other individuals within the entertainment industry being paid their perceived worth.

    The problem I have , is the knock on effect it has going down the leagues , transfer fees , wages etc all spiral & eventually the wealth & greed of the elite will cripple the game as we know it. I do not criticise individuals who get these rich pickings but the whole structure of our game what could have conceivably seen a club go under for debts amounting to 3 days pay of a premier league star , it just sticks in my throat
