Am I the only one thinking he might be delaying signing to see if this window is the same as every other one before for us and that the changes promised have not happened. Truly hope I am wrong and the club matches his ambition and vision.
Probably an element of that, just to keep the new owners on their toes. But like he's said, contracts aren't really worth owt these days. Clauses can make em relatively pointless. More a gesture of commitment than owt else
He's on a good wage to do a job, and I don't think that with his record over the last 12 months or so he's seen as such hot property as some seem to think. Yeah, the bookies keep linking him with jobs, but I'm not sure anyone has made a concrete enquiry about taking him. I just don't think he's in a position to pick and choose like some seem to think.
At the time when he was linked with Sunderland (and he put himself in the mixer by refusing to deny it) we were midtable and form wasn't too bad all things considered. Since then our form has been abysmal 1 win in how many im losing count? I'd him to sign unless he is going to walk.
Maybe its the owners keeping Hecky on his toes? They may have put the contract on ice until results pick up.
I don't think he's ever confirmed or denied any speculations. I don't think our form has anything to do with it.
I never said he pushed the move but if you wasn't interested in a job you wouldn't refuse to confirm or deny. That adds speculation.
Yeah gw contract was withdrawn before ink was even dry coz they said he took too long yet season had only just ended we were still in may i think.
Well to be honest if that was true , he would have applied for any vacant position through the official channels which he obviously never did , there has been speculation through betting odds but that was all it was , pure speculation
