While I could understand this comment after a few games this season, this wasn't one of them games

 

F-Me, we have one of the lowest payrolls in the League - league position tends to come down to how much you pay your players - this is a scientific mathematical fact. If we stay up this year we have over achieved, if we go down then that is about par - BUT we lost so many players last year that not going down is so above our expectations its unbelievable. I thought at the start of the season if we stay up its a miracle, just because we have new owners, doesn't change that position now unless we do a Wolves in the next 3 days and spend 40 mill.

 

After having a think about today I have to agree with others Cavare losing his head has cost us but we should have come away with a point barring another Davies blunder.

We just haven't got that experience or quality in the team to be able to play consistently enough at this level. If we don't bring in a spine of players that can guide these younger lads through the rest of this season I really can't see us picking up enough points to survive.

We really are staring at league 1 if we don't get some quality in during the rest of this window so it's either spend a bit of money or spend a bit of money covering the shortfall when we get relegated. It's a hard division to get out of so I really wouldn't want to go back down and try claw our way back up.

These new owners have come in and seem content with what's happening at the minute and I know we have brought in Moore and Pinillos but we need desperately some leaders who will help us pick up points not more youngsters or foreign players we don't know much about.

We need to put this foreign player recruitment on the back burner while we have more time to get deals done in the summer and look at players from the uk who understand the league and what it takes to stop in it. Matt Mills rumored is a good start but we need 3 or 4 players of a similar standard if we are to be recruiting for the championship in the summer.

 

It's not his team unfortunately pal. He gets a very small say in matters.

 

I've been critical of hecky on a few occasions this season naive tactics baffling team selection playing players out of position. But today I was a little worried when he played moncur on wing when having hedges on bench. But that was the best I've seen moncur play and it was a really good team performance 1st half if we play like that rest of the season we will be fine. Cavare cost us today.

 

How much are Sunderland and Birmingham players being paid? They should be comfortably mid- table or higher then according to scientific mathematical fact.

 

They're being managed in a way which is making them at the wrong end of the bell curve mate.

Pointless thread mainly because most on here see no bad in the manager, despite him having one of the worse records of any Barnsley manager, his failings of which there are many are dismissed and all because of one reason, that he is oneofourown, well while the happy clappers keep polishing their rose tinted Hecky glasses this club is drifting only one way down so
