When asked what he had said to Cavare he said that was private and he wouldn't be commenting. Sorry Paul but the public pay his wages, the public were let down by him, the public witnessed his behaviour. The public should be told of your response to it. It shouldn't be covered up

It didn't disappoint me at all, and all managers would say the same thing in the circumstances. He also said that the players had already told Cavaré what they thought of him, which was good.

I don't understand all this pressure for the club to explain all the decisions they make in private. People expect to find out about transfer fees, wages, disciplinary issues, team selection and all sorts of things. Some people on here expected a running commentary on the takeover FFS. This stuff is private and should remain so in my opinion.

Most good managers keep what is said in the dressing room private. One or two (like Warnock) don't, but they do that as part of their management style IMO, not because they are being straight with the fans.

I wasn't bothered about that but I'd like to see radio Sheffield ask him better questions like what' happening with the new contract? Why did you chose to play moncur as a winger? Why was thiam playing walking football?

I can’t see what dragging it into the public domain would achieve. I’m sure Paul made his feelings perfectly clear and If any disciplinary action is taken then it is quite right that this some be private.

Hopefully it wouldn't have been broadcast-able before the watershed anyway.

Back Hecky 100% on this. What happens in the dressing room stays in the dressing room for me

Hecky obviously think that putting it out in the public domain would adversely affect the team, so he’s well within his rights to withhold it.

Years ago at work we got a big order from a large international aerospace company. I can't say who it was, but it was British. During the negotiations we got sent a form to complete, in which we had to disclose our costs including the costs of parts and labour to put together the goods they had ordered. We also had to state our overheads including directors' salaries, rent, rates, energy, telephone, you name it, and include 3 years accounts.

I told them to ****** (my favourite word). They said I couldn't talk to such an esteemed company like that. I told them I just had done. I told them we wouldn't be filling in the form and the accounts were available from Companies House. They were gobsmacked. I made it clear that such information was private even for good customers, and it would not be released outside the company under any circumstances.

They still ordered the stuff. Being a customer, even a big one, doesn't make you privy to private information about a company's activities.

He's an employee with employment rights. We only need to know that he's been disciplined.

No problem with that response at all. Did anyone from the press ask why Thiam couldn't run?

For me this sort of stuff should be kept in internal, its enough to say it will happen.I'm more disappointed that given what was was at stake, the outcome and the occasion (PC) that the player hasn't expressed any remorse for being a total ********.

I just expected something like '' told him how disappointed I was in him'. I'm sure previous managers and those of there clubs have been asked that identical question and been answered.

I'm always a bit disappointed by the questions from radio Sheffield anyway to be honest. They seem **** scared of upsetting anyone so they never ask why thiam was ambling around the pitch or whether he thinks Davies's performance will mean that Townsend is close to replacing him. All you get is 'disappointed today Paul? Any transfers coming in? Thanks for talking to us" it's the same thing every week
