If we sign another CM, striker and keeper, all who are ready to play I think thats a pretty good window
Someone on Twitter asked a Lens supporter that question. His response was something along the lines of the player has had reduced chances this season after the manager switched formation. Apparently he played a far more significant role the previous season prior to the system change.
Know nothing of Ligue 2, does anyone know its comparative quality? I'd always thought below conference.
I think it's a fair question. I haven't a clue about standards of foreign leagues. They seem to have a few strong, well supported clubs at the top and then nowt much else.
Are you sure about conference attendances mate? Seems a bit high that - more like league one? Edit* You've looked at highest gates. Average is around 2k
The standard is about lower league 1/high league 2. That's what a journo has replied to one of our fans on Twitter anyway.
It's the 2nd tier in France . Btw Lens are a far bigger club than amiens ..theyre normally in the top div It was announced on 29 January 2015 that Lens' promotion from Ligue 2 at the end of the 2013–14 season has been ruled invalid, and will thus be automatically relegated to Ligue 2 for the 2015–16 season, regardless of where the team places. Thus, in August 2015 Lens returned to Ligue 2, albeit playing at the renovated Stade Bollaert-Delelis. They drew an average home attendance of 28,996 in the 2016-17 season, the highest in Ligue 2. Mmm.....well I must admit I'm finding these times less than exciting. We relatively recently got D'Almeida from PSG reserves, and he was deemed not good enough. Now we're recruiting a reserve from a team almost near the bottom of French League 2 - which is a place none of us goes. D'Almeida probably prefers Blackpool to Lens. Whilst we're nodding sagely about our new le Tom's development capacity - which might eventually well turn out to be of benefit to the more fashionable club our patrons control - one wonders about his immediate use to a club that is spiralling down the Championship plughole. Are our new owners interested in keeping us in this division, or are we Chexit fodder, at the back of the queue when it comes to portfolio priority? Has anyone spotted a benefit as yet, to having these new owners? The hand dryers were already ordered.
Must admit I'm a bit sceptical about this Ephestion lad. Not been playing much at a relatively low level. I'd rather take punt on someone from our own lower leagues. Mind you, now I've said that he'll probably turn out to be the new Kante......lol
It’s an odd one, doesn’t seem to have any history of note, but someone somewhere has seen something in him. Just hope it’s not the same person who burped up Thiam.
Were they? I suppose the new indoor pitch to replace the non-useable one was too? As was the new IT Suite for the college kids?
