let's keep him then. let's keep paying his wages while he's either on treatment table or suspended or sitting warming bench. and we will just keep paying his wages when he's gonna be surplus to requirements when Jackson and pinnock are fit. we've got enough cover in the defence and if we're making a profit then it's common sense. he won't improve hull
How can you say this with such certainty? There’s as much chance of Jackson being gash as there is MacDonald returning to form
cos his temperament is all wrong and his emotions get the better of him and stop his feet and brain from functioning at this level. he also isn't a leader setting an example and pinnock and Lindsay look far more suited together and combine well.
So why the **** are they wanting him then? They either think he will strengthen them, or that him leaving will weaken us, or both. In their precarious position though I can see them only buying players they feel they need for their team. So they think he’d be an asset: It’s a tight division. You don’t strengthen your rivals.
If thats not knocking the lad, then heaven forbid what you are going to say if you do have a go at him
they think he will be strengthening them. but I know he's not championship quality and if we came up against him in the hull defence I would expect a few openings or some sort of dissent and nervousness. he ain't good enough compared to what we have and there's no point in keeping hold of someone when there's better players ahead of him and he's keeping another option out of the squad. IMO
Looks like he's away.. Pete O'Rourke @SportsPeteO 3m3 minutes ago Hull City are poised to sign Barnsley defender Angus MacDonald. #hcafc #barnsleyfc
if he goes then I wish him luck. had a decent season at the side of Roberts. but has been found out when relied upon .
I think its a real shame if he is sold , when we bought him from Torquay , in my opinion he grasped the opportunity of stepping up & gave his all every time he put the reds shirt on & still think it unwise to sell any player to another side involved in the relegation scrap
maybe so. but I like pinnock and Lindsay more and struggle to see where gus would fit in. and if we can double, treble or even quadruple what we paid for him, it's good business. we have adequate cover
Ill miss some of his crunching slide tackles.. he got ball but made sure he put the player on his ass at same time. Even if he was within stand tackling distance lol
I've got mixed feelings. He did superbly well last season, but has arguably been our weak link at the back this term. Loss of confidence and a dip in form, or he really was being carried by Roberts? If we're willing to sell him, I can only assume that Hecky feels it's closer to the latter. Certainly with Pinnock and Jackson's short term fitness being doubtful, I'd be astounded if were letting Gus leave without a replacement being absolutely guaranteed to come in tomorrow.
