    Impressively calm and stoical, despite an indescribably woeful transfer window, the consequences of which could well be relegation.

    Compared with sparks flying out the ears of the Monk Bretton Geriatric Ladies' Club, who were going absolutely haywire on here, because we'd failed to sign a reserve midfielder from the French second tier's equivalent of Sunderland, despite there being four hours of deadline day left, and other deals clearly being in the pipeline. Comedy histrionics.

    We expected a poor window 12 months ago due to the existing contract issues and the club's seeming inability / unwillingness to put it right. Didn't make it any easier to stomach though.
