For me the best bit of business is keeping Andy yiadom untill the end of season. Can't see him staying any longer than that but hope I'm wrong.
Agree. I was wrong to think his head wasn’t in it when he came back from injury - he’s been superb this last month. Back to his very best. I’d see no harm in him having the captaincy either for next 5 months.
You never know, if we could put a great run together and shoot up the table, he might think we could be force next season and stay. That’s if a An offer from the Premiership doesn’t materialise of course.
I hope we can retain him again, but staying in the division, which is more likely with Yiadom at the club, would ensure another 12 months of TV and league revenue, that in itself makes up for losing him on a free to some extent. By all accounts, he played with full commitment when seeing out his Barnet contract before joining us.
Shame he didn't take up that increased offer last summer would demand a big price whatever happens if he had a few years left. Like already said best laiker we have.
In time to come, the best bit of business in this window, might prove to be getting Bird & Brown first team Mr football.
I'm very happy that we've got Yids for the rest of the season. I really hope that we can convince him to stay. He's a quality full back and we need to keep our best players if we are to progress.
I don't think he would agree with me on this but hard to disagree truthfully though. So comfortable on the ball, rarely gives possesson away, good at defending even against the better opposition in the league.
He's been too predictable recently and most of the time the opposition have had the measure of him leaving him to lose his head. Not sure what he brings to the team anymore.
I totally agree with this. Andrew is a wonderfully talented footballer and I think he can go all the way to the very top. George.
Best bit of business was done by Bolton Wanderers. £6 million for Gary Madine? - pulled Cardiff's pants down with that one.
Keeping Joe for the rest of the season as he's the ability to bring out the best from our new attack & improve the strike rate. It's great to keep Yids & improve our chances of clean sheet but goals win games as they say.
Not much use when you're only goal scorer is gone and you get relegated, think this was the best bit of business for Barnsley to be honest.
Impossible to say really until we've seen the new lads actually pull on a Reds shirt, but I'm excited about Knasmullner's potential and pedigree, especially as goals/attacking threat from midfield is one area we've regressed massively on this season compared to last year. Pinillos has already shown he can shine at this level so he's another potential star signing and the fact we've bolstered the forward line means we can hopefully start converting a better rate of chances into goals. The one thing we now have is proper quality options from the bench, as ungrammatical as that sounds!
