Many years ago I was talking to our then assistant manager and I asked him why haven't we got any black players in our team.He replied that most black players run out of stamina around 60/70 minutes.I know that isn't factual so would his assessment be classed as racist?
Yes. Racism: (from the oxford Dictionary) The belief that all members of each race possess characteristics, abilities, or qualities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races.
Any other conversations from many years ago, that just popped into your head? Did you recently work at West Ham?
Very harsh that,I’ve met BMW loads of times and he comes across as A fair-minded decent and genuine bloke.
Yes. He's choosing not to employ black people based upon a generalised belief which is totally ********.
I never trust people with glasses, they look really sinister when they take them off. I’ve also heard they’re **** at climbing trees.
Sadly racist stereotyping used to be common in football. See also the idea that black players can't "think" but are physically superior. You'd see fewer black central defenders, goalkeepers and central midfielders than strikers and wingers.
slightly o/t - 20+ years ago my cousin was going out with a West Indian lad. Her father, my uncle, did everything he could to split them up. His reason was that a white girl going out with a black lad was likely to get abuse etc. Was my uncle being racist?
Pretty sure it says all we need to know about someone who's only post in 3 months was such an idiotic one. Oh look, his previous post back in november was about brexit.
Wenger once said the total opposite was true, and that in general with the odd exception Africans have a better genetic profile than white people, for long distance running. Was that racist, probably wasn’t at the time, but is now, hang him .
Commenting on a genes isn't racist. Looking at your posts since you joined I have concluded you are a wum
