Yes no different to the position before he signed his new contract apart from the compensation package either way would be more
I don't want the guy sacking, but it's hard to argue that his managerial record over the last 12 months would have had most previous managers long gone and I can understand people are starting to turn. We all know he's got a very difficult job because his players don't look good enough, but that's not going to change anytime soon. No manager can carry on forever not winning games, but living off past reputation and being called a good manager with poor players. Is he still a good manager? Who really knows? He might have to take up a job somewhere else before that becomes apparent. This new contract could be marking a new start between him and the owners, but I don't think it guarantees anything. They will have expectations, especially now they have improved his deal.
May be they gave him this better deal so he gets a better amount of cash when they bin him off ....compo for all he has done for club .... just a thought
I cant really believe that he signed a new contract past the end of the season surely the best option would have been an extension to the end of the season then a revue of the whole situation .In my opinion he is the luckiest manager in the country at the moment (seems Patrick is looking out for him still)
