If it’s true He had to go reading between the lines He’s not had much help here at Oakwell but to sell your sole to that load of ***** takes abit of stomaching. Good luck PH you’ll need it at that sacking Club
As bad as? Worse, he has been around the club for so many years to sack it off for Leeds now is outrageous
If he goes, I wish him well and can't blame him in the slightest. Chance for a new start for him, more money, likely to be sacked in the near future with probably a full contract to be paid out, meaning security for him and his family. Also means a new start for us - maybe, as with Johnson, there are some good players at the club and whatever new manager we have will get more out of them than Hecky did.
Hecky says he's not just the coach, he's also a fan . Now then, im a fan ,and if I was our coach id tell Leeds to **** right off , like any Barnsley fan worth their salt would .
Ian Dennis rarely gets anything close to wrong. Ready to sack football off and I'd been looking forward to Saturday for months.
Even if they offered you a load more money, an actual proper contract, gave you more choice over transfers?
Can't blame him for going. He's worked wonders at Oakwell and should have banked enough goodwill to last him through NEXT season. Most fand agreed in the summer we may struggle but we had to back Hecky. Funny how things change. He could be sacked here within a month with his own supporters turning against him. Against that backdrop I'd also leave. Doesn't matter if it's Leeds, it's his career and they're one of the biggest clubs around.
Yes id tell them to ********. Its not as tho' he's on peanuts is it . This would be worse than Danny going to Wednesday . If Hecky thought owt of the fans he'll say no cos **** sticks for a long time .
If Hecky was to be that man and become a Leeds legend... Don't think I could stomach it. He should have been the man to take us to the Premier League, not them. I can only compare it to finally getting married to your childhood sweetheart after years of liking each other. Then after two years marriage, the knobhead cocky bully from the year above at school comes and nicks her off you. Even though he used to take the piss out of her and nick her sweets when you were kids. Then to rub it all in, they go on the dream holiday together you'd always dreamed of and worked towards but never quite saved up enough to be able to afford.
The thing is at some point, someone will be a success there and get the back to the top flight. That person will then be a hero and will be good for job offers for a decade. It's like all 'poisoned chalices', at some point it comes good and then that manager is a God. Taking Leeds back to the Prem would be a wonderful achievement and would propel that manager so high up the food chain it's totally worth the risk. Garry Monk had a decent spell there and was sought after. Before it went wrong McDermott did a reasonable job and his stock rose hugely. It's a risk worth taking and unfortunately I can see Hecky doing just that.
